Menko Pangan Zulkifli Hasan Dan Wamen Didit Tinjau Pabrik Garam di Serang

SeputarBantenID — Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Banten A Damenta mendampingi Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan dan Wakil Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Didit Herdiawan Ashaf melakukan kunjungan kerja di PT. Ainul Hayat Sejahtera, Kecamatan Puloampel, Kabupaten Serang, Jumat (10/1/2025).
Kunjungan kerja tersebut di antaranya meninjau pabrik garam untuk memastikan ketersediaan garam dalam negeri sebagai upaya mendukung swasembada pangan nasional.
“Tadi kita mendampingi Pak Menko Pangan dan Pak Wamen Kelautan dan Perikanan meninjau pabrik garam yang berada di Provinsi Banten, tepatnya di Kabupaten Serang,” ungkap A Damenta.
Selanjutnya, A Damenta menyampaikan, pada tahun 2023 Provinsi Banten masuk dalam 10 Provinsi produksi garam nasional terbesar dengan luas lahan garam sebesar 28,4 Ha dengan jumlah produksi sebesar ±603 ton.

“Saat ini, lokasi produksi garam di Provinsi Banten terdapat diantaranya di Kabupaten Serang,” katanya.
Selain itu, A Damenta juga berharap sejumlah daerah di Provinsi Banten yang memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan produksi garam sebagai upaya mendukung swasembada pangan nasional.
“Masih terdapat wilayah yang dapat dioptimalkan dalam meningkatkan produksi garam, yakni Kabupaten Pandeglang, Kabupaten Lebak dan Kabupaten Tangerang,” imbuhnya.

Sementara, Menko Pangan Zulkifli Hasan mengatakan produksi garam yang dilakukan tadi kita lihat bahwa NaCl-nya telah mencapai 98, atau berada diatas rata-rata garam yang di impor.
“Baru saja kita bareng dengan Wamen KKP meninjau pabrik garam, ini sudah diisi awal 2024, ini sudah bisa memproduksi garam dengan NaCl sampai 98. Padahal yang terbaik itu impor 95 jadi ini bagus sekali, jadi sudah betul kita tidak mengimpor garam lagi,” pungkasnya.
