Dinas Cipta Karya dan Tata Ruang Tangsel Bangun 2.400 Septic Tank, Perbaikan Sanitasi
Pilar Saga Ichsan saat mengecek pembangunan Septic Tank. SEPUTARBANTEN.ID – Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) melalui Dinas Cipta Karya dan Tata Ruang telah berhasil membangun sebanyak 2.400 tangki septik untuk masyarakat dalam kurun waktu 2023- 2024.
Hal ini disampaikan langsung oleh Wakil Wali Kota Tangerang Selatan, Pilar Saga Ichsan saat serah terima pembangunan tangki septik ke masyarakat di Pondok Cabe Ilir dan Pondok Cabe Udik, Kecamatan Pamulang pada Rabu (31/7/2024).
“Program septictank ini sesungguhnya sudah dilakukan dari tahun lalu sampai tahun ini ada 2.400 unit septictank pribadi yang sudah dibangun. Hari ini, kita meresmikan 18 unit septictank sebagai bagian dari program wajib perbaikan sanitasi ini,” ujar Pilar.
Pilar menjelaskan bahwa pembangunan tangki septik merupakan bagian dari upaya menciptakan kota yang sehat.
Selain membangun infrastruktur jalan, penerangan jalan umum (PJU), dan drainase, Pilar menekankan pentingnya pembangunan tangki septik sebagai langkah untuk menjaga kesehatan lingkungan dan pemukiman.
“Kita membangun kampung kita, pemukiman kita, rumah kita, selain mungkin jalannya, selain lampu penerangan jalan umum (PJU) atau bangun drainasenya, kita juga jangan lupa untuk membangun septictank,” tambahnya.
Pilar juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para kader yang telah membantu dalam mencari dan menyisir warga yang rumahnya belum memiliki tangki septik pribadi.
Menurutnya, tangki septik pribadi memiliki manfaat besar dalam mencegah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh pembuangan limbah rumah tangga ke saluran air atau got.
“Manfaatnya apa septictank pribadi ini? Ya tadi disampaikan oleh penerima manfaat bahwa limbah rumah tangga tentu saja tidak akan dibuang langsung ke saluran. Kalau dibuang ke saluran, dibuang ke got itu nanti akan menimbulkan penyakit. Penyakit itu ke siapa? Yang kena adalah keluarga yang bersangkut, dan bisa jadi sekitar. Nah, penyakit yang ada di lingkungan kita, bisa menular dan lain sebagainya tandanya rumah kita tidak sehat, tidak bersih,” jelasnya.
Namun, Pilar mengingatkan warga yang menerima tangki septik untuk merawat dan membersihkannya secara berkala agar tetap berfungsi dengan baik.
“Saya kembalikan kepada para penerima manfaat, bagaimana septictank ini benar-benar dimanfaatkan supaya bisa dirawat, supaya septictanknya berfungsi,” ucap dia.
Dengan program pembangunan tangki septik ini, diharapkan masyarakat Tangerang Selatan semakin sehat, kotanya semakin maju, cerdas, dan modern.
Tidak ada lagi pembuangan limbah rumah tangga yang dibuang ke sungai atau got, sehingga lingkungan menjadi lebih bersih dan sehat.
